–Firm opens new Albany office and names veteran investment sales professional Jim Morrissey Vice President, Investments to lead the market–
ALBANY, N.Y. –Northeast Private Client Group, a commercial real estate investment sales and advisory firm serving owners and investors across Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, and Northern New England, today announced its expansion into New York’s Capital Region with the opening of a new office in Albany. The Albany office is the firm’s newest location and its latest step in building a fully connected advisory platform across the Northeast.
The Capital Region sits directly between the firm’s existing New York presence in the Lower Hudson Valley and its New England markets, closing a gap in the territory and creating a continuous corridor of coverage from Westchester through Albany and into Western Massachusetts and beyond. The region’s steady fundamentals, consistent development activity, and relatively stable vacancy point to a market where owners increasingly need trusted, well-connected advisory to navigate positioning and disposition. The new office allows Northeast Private Client Group to bring its established database of owners and investors, built across five states, directly to Capital Region sellers, connecting them to the same relationships and disciplined process that have driven value for clients throughout the firm’s existing markets.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Jim Morrissey to Northeast Private Client Group. The Capital Region is one of the most active and underserved investment sales markets in the Northeast, and Jim brings the local relationships, market knowledge, and work ethic needed to build a meaningful presence there. His addition reflects our continued commitment to delivering the same advisory-driven approach our clients have come to expect throughout the region,” said Robert Paterno, Vice President, Brokerage at Northeast Private Client Group.
Morrissey joins NPCG as Vice President, Investments, where he will advise commercial property owners and investors throughout the Capital Region on property positioning, valuation, marketing strategy, and the execution of successful dispositions. He brings extensive experience in commercial real estate brokerage, sales, and marketing throughout New York’s Capital Region, having represented property owners, investors, landlords, and tenants across a variety of commercial asset classes. Morrissey earned hisbachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and later studied Organizational Leadership at The College of Saint Rose. Outside of commercial real estate, he has an extensive background in collegiate lacrosse, having held coaching positions at Syracuse University, Cornell University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, the College of the Holy Cross, and The College of Saint Rose.
“Joining Northeast Private Client Group represents an exciting next chapter in my commercial real estate career. The firm’s collaborative culture and specialized focus on middle-market multifamily, retail, and mixed-use assets perfectly align with the evolving needs of investors in the Capital Region. I look forward to working alongside such a talented team of professionals and leveraging our shared resources to unlock new opportunities and drive exceptional outcomes for our clients,” said Morrissey.
